Climate Change

Anthropogenic activity from industry including agriculture has produced significant quantities of greenhouse gases, such as CO2 , over the past century. This has trapped more sunlight in the lower atmosphere causing
an increase in global atmospheric temperatures which has driven climate change with the associated consequences for the habitability of life forms on our planet.

CLIMATE Mitigation research

CLIMASouth
EU project The ClimaSouth project supports climate change mitigation and adaptation in 9 South Mediterranean countries.
The project supports the strengthening of institutional adaptation capacity towards climate resilience. Capacity enhancements are being built across the spectrum of climate information, vulnerability assessments and adaptation strategies. Activities are structured in ways that increase regional cooperation and promote sharing of experiences and case studies at the country level.
